MOVIES THAT INSPIRES YOU IN TERMS OF CAREER

Movies are a source of entertainment regardless of what age you are. Not only that, it can also be the source of your inspiration and motivation. Just from watching, you can learn the life lesson and moral along with the character development the plot provided. Below are the recommendation that’ll get you motivated in terms of your career:

   1. The Devil Wears Prada (2006)

Have you ever experienced abuse nor feel underappreciated from your superior to the point it makes you confused on how to deal with it? Same goes with the main character in this movie, Andy, who recently got her dream job of becoming a journalist in one of New York’s largest magazine editors and has to face a similar problem. This movie covers the issue that almost everyone faces in reality with their superior. Not only does it show us the struggle to adapt, but also to stand up for yourself to overcome the any situation with strategy  and patience. Just like in the movie, where Andy has to put up with Miranda's unreasonable demands and degrading treatment for a year in the hopes of finding another job as a reporter or writer. 

    2. Forrest Gump (1994)

The movie that inspires Jack Ma to build one of the world biggest online commerce companies, is Alibaba. Following Mr. Forrest Gump's journey in life, this movie has a storyline that goes back and forth. Showing us the conflict and relationship that revolves around Mr. Forrest Gump. Because of his physical disability and lack of intelligence, Forrest is frequently bullied. His leg braces burst off while running from many bullies, exposing Forrest to be a very fast runner. He eventually receives a football scholarship as a result of his talent. From here We could learn that you don’t need to be smart or an expert to succeed, you just need a growth mindset and motivation to do it. Sometimes, things that went wrong could take you to where you were supposed to be.

    3. The Intern (2015)

A comedy drama about a 70-year old man named Ben Whittaker who applies as an intern for a fashion site. This movie gives insight about the struggle you’ll have if you’re outdated in terms of career, because you can't keep up with technology and other skills that you need to compete. It also includes knowledge on what to prepare in a competitive work environment, the necessary importance to always learn new things along with ability, and to upgrade your knowledge to keep up with the times.

    4. Working Girl (1988)

For all the women out there who are struggling in their career and face prejudice, this is the perfect movie for you. The story follows Tess McGill, an ambitious secretary who is working her way up to become the corporate ladder. She is dealing with a number of issues in both her work and personal life. Everything comes together in the end, and Tess achieves her goal. Working Girl was one of the groundbreaking films of the 1980s, demonstrating that women could be equally successful in the workplace as men.

    5. Legally Blonde (2001)

One of the most classical movies in 2001, and mostly who's people who have seen this movie becomes motivated to pursue their dreams. Revolving our main character Elle Woods who succeeds in getting into Harvard Law School in order to reclaim her love. On her journey, Elle learns that she would make a great lawyer and eventually dumps her ex-boyfriend and continues to pursue her career in law. Throughout this movie, we can see her progress and effort on trying to get into Harvard., Not only that, but her will to prove the people who underestimated her wrong. We can learn from her hard work and optimistic nature and try to apply it in real life.

These are a few films you can watch whenever you seek encouragement and motivation in your professional life. Not only it serves as entertainment, but also a reminder that in life, you have to work hard regardless of the obstacle.
